This comprises the small leaves that sprout from the sides of a hemp bud and are commonly referred to as “sugar leaves” because they are covered in trichomes. These glands, which resemble sugar crystals and are named after their appearance, are essential components of the cannabis plant. The trichomes contain the majority of the plant’s terpenes and cannabinoids (THC & CBD).
